For centuries, women have adorned themselves with beautiful objects – shells, precious stones set in copper, silver or gold or even just a flower in their hair - that accentuated their traits and their beauty.
Maria Neversil is based in Berne, Switzerland, and makes eclectic jewellery from vintage items that she buys on fleamarkets around the world when she travels for work. She combines new material with old, unique beads or jewellery pieces as well as pearls and semi-precious stones. Most of her pieces are one-offs, given that they usually contain a vintage piece or vintage beads of which she has only found a few.
